Procedure Text Chapter 3 Part 2

                      

Hello everyone, my name is Namira Hasnalma Aisyah and Im from 27 Senior High School Class XI Science 1. So, today I want to tell you about how to something but let me explain about what is procedure text.

Procedure is a text that shows a process in order. Its social function is to describe how something is completely done through a sequence of series. Or

(1)Texts that explain how something works or how to use instruction / operation manuals e.g. how to use the video, the computer, the tape recorder, the photocopier, the fax                                                     (2) Texts that instruct how to do a particular activity e.g. recipes, rules for games, science experiments, road safety rules.
(3) Texts that deal with human behaviour eg how to live happily, how to succeed.

Generic Structure:

1. Goal : It is containt the purpose of the text.
2. Material or Ingredient : it is containt of the materials that used in the process.
3. Step : it is containt of the steps to make something in the goal.

The Purpose:

1. To explain/tell (the reader) how to make/operate/do something through a sequence of actions or steps.

2. To explain steps/instruction to make/operate/do something

The Characteristic:

1. Use adverbial of sequence / Using temporal conjunction (e.g: first, second, third, the last)
2. Use command / imperative sentence (e.g : put the noodles on the . . ., cut the onion. . ., wash the tomatoes. . . )
3. Using action verb
4. Using Simple Present Tense 

How to do procedure text is a text that explaining how to do something. It explain about the method to do something. For example like how to eat a steak with a knife and fork, how to do waxing at home and others.

PROCEDURE TEXT HOW TO DO 

                                                    How to Do Waxing at Home 

                

Materials:

a. Powder

b. Sugar wax

c. Waxing Strip

Step:

1. First, prepare all of the materials we need for the process.

2. Second, put the  powder in the body part that you want to wax and make sure you put it thoroughly all over it.

3. Third, Place the sugar wax all over it. Put it as thin as possible to make it easier to wax it.

4. Fourth, Don't wait too long after you place the sugar wax. Paste  the waxing strip right away and make sure it stick all over it.

5. Finally, pull the waxing strip fastly and check out the result. You can do it a few times if there is still hair left.
