Hello everyone, my name is Namira Hasnalma Aisyah and Im from 27 Senior High School Class XI Science 1. So, today I want to tell you about how to use something but let me explain about what is procedure text.

Procedure is a text that shows a process in order. Its social function is to describe how something is completely done through a sequence of series. Or

(1)Texts that explain how something works or how to use instruction / operation manuals e.g. how to use the video, the computer, the tape recorder, the photocopier, the fax                                                     (2) Texts that instruct how to do a particular activity e.g. recipes, rules for games, science experiments, road safety rules.
(3) Texts that deal with human behaviour eg how to live happily, how to succeed.

Generic Structure:

1. Goal : It is containt the purpose of the text.
2. Material or Ingredient : it is containt of the materials that used in the process.
3. Step : it is containt of the steps to make something in the goal.

The Purpose:

1. To explain/tell (the reader) how to make/operate/do something through a sequence of actions or steps.

2. To explain steps/instruction to make/operate/do something

The Characteristic:

1. Use adverbial of sequence / Using temporal conjunction (e.g: first, second, third, the last)
2. Use command / imperative sentence (e.g : put the noodles on the . . ., cut the onion. . ., wash the tomatoes. . . )
3. Using action verb
4. Using Simple Present Tense 

How to use procedure text is a text that tell about step how to use something. This text mostly tell about how use some electrical machines or  a things that many people don't know how to use it.

How to Use Text:

                                                How To Use a Blender

1. First, prepare the ingredients that you want to mix. The ingredients can be vary, but mostly people use blender for these following things : Ice, vegetables, fruits, milk, or any kind of food and drinks.

2. Second, put the ingredients into smaller pieces if the ingredients were solid and big.

3. Third, prepare the blender cup, make sure to clean it before we use it and put the blender blades on the bottom of the cup.

4. Fourth, place the blender cup on the blender machine.

5. Fifth, insert the plug into the electricity socket.

6. Sixth, put all of the ingredients into the blender cup.

7. After that, add some water to help the blender mix the ingredients evenly.

8. Then, close the lid and cover the blender cup tightly.

9. Ninth, start the blender by pressing the speed button, you can start from the medium speed

10. Tenth, wait until we get the right texture of the mixture, we can adjust the speed and also add some more water if necessary.

11. Finally, open the blender and pour the mixture into a glass or bowl.
